Asciano and Linfox have announced the continuation of the provision of intermodal rail freight.

Estimated to generate revenues of up to $400 million, the contract will run for the next five years.

Under the contract, Asciano will supply rail haulage services to Linfox for the interstate movement of containers and specialty rail services, with existing arrangements due to expire at the end of December.

“Asciano is very pleased to have signed this long term agreement with Linfox, one of our largest customers.  This contract reinforces our longstanding partnership between Asciano and Linfox, one of Australia’s largest freight forwarding companies,” Asciano’s Managing Director John Mullen said.
