The South Australian Government has announced the launch of a new online tool to help people explore a career in mining and resources.

The Hot Rubble website was launched at the Resources and Engineering Skills Alliance (RESA) Skills and Workforce Summit in Adelaide last week.

State Minister for Employment, Grace Portolesi, said that new website was a ‘one-stop’ career resource aimed at connecting people with the state’s growing mining industry.

“It gives people in-depth information about the mining industry, including jobs, salaries, locations and lifestyle as well as training and education pathways to get into the industry,” Ms Portolesi said.

“For those already working in the industry, Hot Rubble provides a range of options to fast-track their careers.

“The website was developed specifically for the South Australian mining sector and includes real-life stories of how people have made the move into mining and resources. “It also uses social media to connect not only with people wanting to enter the industry, but those already in it, so that they are able to share their experience.”
