Toll scores $90 mil offshore shifting deal
The Toll Group has inked a hefty deal with Japanese energy company Inpex, which will bring in $90 million over 10 years.
Toll has been contracted to design and build an offshore logistics base in Northern Territory waters, to support the Ichthys LNG Project.
The company will also provide onshore logistical support for the Ichthys project, which is in the Browse Basin in waters off the northern coast of Western Australia
“The variety of work we’re doing for the Inpex Offshore Logistics Base is an excellent example of Toll’s capabilities in servicing the oil and gas sector,” Toll Global Resources CEO David Jackson said.
“This facility, along with the associated drilling support facility, developed for Inpex in Broome by the Toll Mermaid joint venture, demonstrates Toll’s commitment to invest in world-class facilities for our customers’ world-class projects.”
The logistics base will support several facilities in the Ichthys Field, about 820 km southwest of Darwin, including material supply, storage, and vessel offloading and central processing. Toll will retain ownership of the Inpex -dedicated facility, to be used for storage and distribution of spares, equipment, chemicals and other supplies.
The Toll facility is expected to be built and operational by later 2015.
