The City of Stonnington is offering an exciting and challenging opportunity to be part of its Municipal Building Surveyors (MBS) Office within its Building and Local Law Services Department.
The Department is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Building Surveyor for a 12 month contract. This role will involve varied activities ranging from inspecting building work, dealing with swimming pool and fire safety matters, following up on complaints and providing professional, high quality customer service and enforcement actions.
To be successful in this position, you must be registered with the Victorian Building Authority as a building surveyor as this role will carry out functions and duties as a delegate of the MBS and have excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills. Additionally, you will have a high level of integrity, conscientiousness and attention to detail, be able to work autonomously and have experience in compiling briefs of evidence, or have practical knowledge of the rules of evidence gathering. A proficient understanding of the Building Act, Building Regulations, Building Code of Australia and Australian Standards is also mandatory.
