The success of MRL's business performance is recognized throughout the mining industry in Western Australia. As we continue to grow with a number of significant upcoming projects, a new opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager – LNG to join the MRL business.

The role

MRL have exclusive distribution rights in Australia for the revolutionary Galileo technology to drive mining projects and remote regions that are removed from gas pipelines. The technology will allow you to become your own producer of LNG. It has all the capabilities of a large scale LNG plant into one compact and transportable module.

We will provide revolutionary and reliable LNG power generation options to the resource sector utilising new technology to enable greater cost efficiency to the industry.

We are currently offering a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a driven and pro-active individual with a strong background with LNG Operations to join the leadership team, which is based at the Western Australia head office. The role will be full-time, reporting to the General Manager.

The role of Operations Manager - LNG presents an excellent opportunity to play an integral role within our business, with a specific emphasis on development of this innovative LNG project in Australia.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of ten years' experience within the LNG energy field within an operations environment
• Experience with increasing efficiency through small portable LNG plants
• Experience   with build, own, operate model  with previous companies                   
• Prior experience in a senior leadership level role in a mining and LNG including development from the outset
• Experience with negotiation and execution of short and long term supply agreements
• Superior knowledge and understanding of remote energy plants and distribution network techniques
• Strong technical understanding of electrical power generation plants
• Experience in bottom up forecasting
• Excellent leadership, communication, influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
