Darebin is an inner city Council within the northern suburbs of Melbourne that encompasses the suburbs of Fairfield, Northcote, Thornbury, Preston, Kingsbury and Reservoir and parts of Alphington, Bundoora and Macleod. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to foster the growth and development of strip shopping centres within Darebin, deliver placemaking activities from master plans, proactively support business associations and their Special Rate Levies and assist with precinct marketing.

To be successful, you will have a tertiary qualification in Business and/or experience managing a business and/or provision of business services in a Local Government or similar environment.

You will possess the following demonstrated skills and attributes:
• Experience in delivering successful place making projects, activities or initiatives.
• Experience with administration, monitoring and renewing of Special Rates Schemes.
• Ability to positively contribute to a team and build rapport quickly, including sound communication skills to work with a broad and diverse stakeholder group.
• Ability to anticipate and respond to business needs.
