The Role

The Digital and Mobile Platform manager is responsible for leading, defining and driving the technology evolution of customer, consumer and employee facing communication channels.  These channels include e-commerce, customer and employee mobile experience.  You must have a deep understanding and proven track record of product management and user experience design with respect to web, mobile and wearable technology, native application and web engineering alongside providing leadership towards the development of customer/consumer centric user experience.  Experience as a product owner on large e-commerce platforms is a must.  As part of this role you are required to work closely with the CUB's Customer Experience Centre, which oversees and leads a range of customer experience programs.

In this role you will be responsible for leading, defining and driving the technology evolution of customer, consumer and employee facing communication channels. You will be comfortable in a fast paced environment, constantly looking at the bigger picture and always on the lookout for the next challenge and opportunity.

In addition to this you will:

  • Lead discovery and definition of new interactive experiences for customers, consumers, including market/competitive research and product ideation, conception and wireframing.
  • Manage intake and prioritisation of new features, product fixes and other changes flowing in from stakeholders and customers in an organized, prioritised backlog.
  • Use best practices, traffic metrics, emerging trends and lessons learned from previous projects to produce superior user experiences, from speedy app performance to intuitive user interfaces, optimised information architectures and compelling content presentations
  • Ability to work on complex datasets derived from various internal and sources to extrapolate key insights and construct strategic narratives and drives data-based storytelling for product development, audience targeting, and feature enhancements
  • Lead and collaborate with SI partners, visual designers and manage usability testing to deliver world-class user experiences
  • Communicate product vision, strategy and execution details to stakeholders in written summaries and visual presentations
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of products, from ideation to launch to ongoing operation and performance

Who you are

The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • 6+ years in implementation of digital, CRM, Data, Web & Mobile platforms
  • Tertiary Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Background in managing consumer-facing product lines in one or more of the following categories: E commerce platforms (SAP Hybris), Digital Media, Gaming, Social products, Mobile content
  • Solid understanding of the Sap Hybris, Salesforce Marketing/Commerce cloud and Magento.
  • Fluency in web technologies (i.e. HTML, data flow models, etc.), ecommerce platforms, and the B2C landscape.
  • Ability to use analytics engines like Google Analytics to generate statistics/data analysis with an ability to visualise customer behaviour through metrics & insights
  • Strong consumer instincts with an eye for clean user experience
  • Experience building high-level business cases for developing new digital or mobile products that can be monetised via subscriptions
  • Deep knowledge of solution delivery lifecycles and development processes including Agile, & DevOps
  • Proven experience building and leading application development teams
