Technology Program Manager

The Role

The Program Manager has responsibility for the implementation, operation and review of all technology programs running in APAC South.  The Program Manager will act as the line manager for all Project Managers ensuring the entire portfolio is delivered to specification, at the right time, within budget and in the right way across APAC South. The Program Manager will have visibility across the entire business as a strong understanding of how each function operates is critical for success in delivering the best solution.

What you contribute

In this role you will be responsible for leading, defining and driving all technology based projects to each function within the business.  You will be comfortable in a fast paced environment, constantly looking at the bigger picture and always on the lookout for the next challenge and opportunity.

In addition to this you will:

  • Responsible to program manage the entire technology portfolio for APAC South including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling and ending all the significant areas (Integrated Management, Scope Management, Time Management, Cost Management, Quality Management, Human Resources Management, Change Management, Communication Management, Risk Management, Engagement with Vendor & Procurement, Stakeholder Management) on a regional level
  • Assign FTE’s to strategic projects & ensure appropriate standards are followed
  • Orchestrate and drive the successful & timely completion of programs to achieve the business goals, including the identification and resolution of risks and issues which impact program delivery
  • Manage capacity and program alignment cooperatively across the portfolio
  • Employ program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery aligned to the company Excellence Program
  • Maintain weekly and monthly operating reports
  • Guarantee compliance with all application tools used for program and project management
  • Ensure consistency of deliverables and artefacts across all programs in portfolio in line with the companies Excellence Program.

Who you are

The ideal candidate for this role will:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ of Program Management Experience
  • Tertiary Qualification in any of the STEM majors or Business/Commerce 

Preferred Qualifications:    

  • 4+ years of Team Lead experience  
  • A strong understanding of software lifecycle methodology and information systems development and support
  • Strong ability to succeed in ambiguous environment  
  • Excellent understanding of Program Management practices  
  • Strong cross group collaboration abilities  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills  
  • Sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating, and decision-making skills & attention to detail  
  • 4+ years of ERP (e.g. SAP) package software experience with large scale implementation for enterprise business’s  
  • Experience leading teams within a global delivery model  
  • Experience leading technology led solutions including ERP, Digital & Analytics programs; SAP, CRM, Salesforce.com    
  • Enterprise Rollout (IT) experience, preferably with ERP
