WHAT YOU’LL DO

An exciting opportunity to be part of our growing mine closure team, we’re on the lookout for likeminded individuals who are passionate about finding solutions to wicked environmentally, social, and economic issues associated with Mine Closures.

We offer optimal solutions tailored to sites unique closure risk profile. Coordinating every facet of design through deconstruction to deliver all aspects of mine closure (Engineering, procurement, construction management). We have substantial experience dealing with environmental impact assessments, approvals, and closure across a range of clients in the mining & minerals industry.

You will assist our team in a wide range of duties, not limited to;

  • Assisting in the development of proposals and completing technical project work in mine closure planning
  • Assist and lead rehabilitation projects and initiatives
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to develop good working relationships
  • Engaging with teams on environmental aspects to advise on risk management and improvements
  • Assisting with environmental approvals and relative government bodies.
  • Oversee environmental monitoring programmes, data management and reporting

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for someone with exceptional attention to detail, who enjoys a flexible working environment and a supportive team surrounding them. Ideally, you will come from an Environmental Advisor/Project background with current knowledge of legislation, approvals, and QLD/NSW regulatory regimes.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science/Management or related discipline
  • Experience using GIS Software
  • Ambition and passion to protect the sustainability of the environment
  • Working knowledge of current environmental legislation
  • Community and indigenous engagement and design of environmental monitoring programs
  • Good working knowledge of QLD/NSW regulatory regimes, in particular the requirements for preparation of Environmental Authority Applications, calculation of rehabilitation costs and Progressive rehabilitation and Mine closure plans (PRC)
  • A background in Environment & Management within the mining and construction industry
