Regional Project Engineer - Warragamba

In this role, you will provide engineering expertise to ensure optimal solutions are effectively identified, developed, and implemented in response to project and business needs. The Regional Project Engineer is responsible for defining project scopes, verifying design and technical delivery while prioritizing safety by utilizing WaterNSW project delivery framework.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead development and implementation of technical/engineering solutions.
  • Develop project specification documentation that is clear and comprehensive to enable contractors to effectively respond to requests for tender.
  • Validate the project design process ensuring all relevant engineering specifications and standards are met.
  • Develop and implement commissioning, testing and handover plans for all relevant projects.
  • Ensure drawings, operating and maintenance manuals and other relevant materials are produced in timely manner and meet specifications or other requirements of the business.
  • Provide technical support and recommend actions across all project phases to ensure that engineering designs meet operational requirements and engineering standards.

What we are looking for:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering
  • Professional Project Management and Engineering experience in water delivery infrastructure asset-based projects
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering design principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to determine optimal solutions and defining technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of a quality management system at the Project level (Inspection and Test Plans, Inspection and Test Checksheets and Quality Control Plans).
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret project/engineering documentation such as specifications and drawings.
  • Proven experience in managing projects, design process and site-based experience managing construction activities and contractors. 
  • Willing to travel and work at various sites within NSW.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence.
