Maintenance Officers Trade - Mechanical

What you’ll do:

Deliver day to day maintenance and service activities for water infrastructure assets and river systems. As a part of a hard working and highly skilled team, you will play a pivotal role in the ongoing maintenance and service of some of NSW’s major waterways. 

You will also participate in incident response and on call rosters as requested, including weekend and shift work when required. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Commitment to WaterNSW safety policies and procedures
  • Operational maintenance tasks aligned with the preventative maintenance program
  • Dam surveillance and water sampling
  • You may be required conduct other maintenance activities outside of your trade
  • Ensure work is performed and documented in accordance with manufacturers recommendation and company procedures
  • Willing to travel and work at various sites within Water NSW if or when required

What we are looking for:  

  • General maintenance activities including plant, machinery and large industrial equipment operations
  • The ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and hardworking culture
  • Qualification in the trade Mechanical
  • Boat licence where water operations are required (it's desirable to have a boat license however training will be provided to obtain the license through WaterNSW if you do not have one)
  • Current NSW driver’s licence
