About the role

We have an ongoing opportunity for an experienced engineer to work with our award-winning roof water harvesting team and assist with the effective investigation and planning of future water and wastewater infrastructure needs of the region.

 

A key component of the role will see you provide expert advice to internal stakeholders, business leads, consultants, developers and other industry professionals in water and wastewater infrastructure.

 

Deliverables in the role are broad and include development of the capital investment plan; future planning and review of existing systems accounting for climate change impacts; and building resilience and adaptation measures across a broad asset base. You will be responsible for concept design for augmented and new systems, including alternative water supplies. The role will also assist with advice on catchment planning referrals (domestic wastewater systems) and utilisation and enhancement of simulation models for water and wastewater systems.

 About you and your skills 

To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • A strong community focus
  • High organisational skills and an ability to visualise and strive for innovative solutions to  create efficient and effective ways of asset planning
  • High motivatation and enthusiasm
  • A strong understanding and desire to expand knowledge in the principles of infrastructure and water resource planning
  • Relevant experience in the water and sewerage sector
  • A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or suitable equivalent).

 

This is a full-time ongoing position, located in Warrnambool. The role has a salary range of $81,298.96 to $88,390.93 p.a plus superannuation. A higher salary may be negotiated for highly skilled and experienced applicants and applications are encouraged from these individuals.
