About the opportunity

The Quality Assurance Engineer will play an active role in the implementation, monitoring and reporting on quality assurance throughout the delivery of the program of works for the Level Crossing Removal Project. This position may be working in the LXRP Quality Assurance Team supporting the Quality Assurance Lead and providing advice to the Project Teams or this role may be wholly embedded into a work package as part of a matrix structure.

Duties

  • Accountable for the effective implementation of assigned activities in accordance with the LXRP Quality Assurance Management Plan (QAMP).
  • Advising relevant project team(s) and the Quality Assurance Lead on all quality related issues and opportunities.
  • Undertaking the delivery of assigned quality related incremental/step-change initiatives in support of the JCC sub-committee for Quality.
  • Contributing to the implementation of assigned Technical Training programs, to broaden and strengthen Quality Assurance capability across the LXRP, supply chain and MTIA.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, project management or related discipline is mandatory.
  • Sound understanding of the Whole of Victorian Government purchasing and procurement policies is highly desirable.
