Technology and Support Manager

 

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, The Technology and Support Manager provides leadership and management across the Technology & Support Section of the Information Technology Team with responsibility for the performance and co-ordination of Technology, ITSM and support services, creating long term relationships with key clients, customers, and suppliers.

Key duties include:

  • Formulate and manage the Technology and Support section operational budgets, plans, and targets and ensures they are aligned to Fremantle Ports business goals and agreed strategies.
  • Lead the development, improvement, and implementation of the ITSM processes within the IT team.
  • Create and manage the IT Service Catalogue (including pro-actively manage and report against Service Levels)
  • Manage the development and delivery of organisation wide IT software and hardware asset management reports at all levels inclusive of shadow IT, from the desktop to in house services through to “as a service” engagement.
  • Plan for and evaluate the performance of existing technology and systems and proactively change in line with IT Strategy
  • Identify and manage risks within all practices, e.g. projects, change procedures, business processes in accordance with the risk management process.

Skills & Experience

  • Possession of an information technology related qualification or extensive, recent experience in a technology management role.
  • Proven experience and demonstrated technical knowledge of all aspects of contemporary infrastructure and network systems in a distributed/cloud environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high levels of service to organisations in alignment with agreed performance measures and supported by ITIL processes.
  • High level of experience in implementing ongoing process improvements to ensure the delivery of services to customers across the organisation.
  • Well-developed managerial skills including, human, financial, project, vendor, and physical resources.
  • Highly developed communication skills (written, oral and interpersonal) including the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships and the ability to negotiate effectively.
