About the Department
This is an exciting time to join the NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) within the NSW Department of Industry. The DPI works to increase the value of primary industries and drive economic growth across NSW.
DPI Agriculture is responsible for increasing the productivity and resilience of the agricultural sector. It does this through agricultural productivity research across livestock, cropping and natural resource management areas, as well as providing education and training.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to join research teams to support and conduct critical research across multiple projects within DPI Agriculture. Projects include optimising grain yield potential in winter cereals, optimised canola profitability and evaluation and agronomic management of dual purpose cereal varieties for NSW mixed farming systems.
In your new role you will be applying your technical expertise and be responsible for conducting field sample collections, assist in the management of glasshouse trials and ensure consistency and quality in sample evaluation from replicated trials.
To be considered for this role, you will be a highly motivated person with a strong commitment to ensuring the delivery of research outcomes. You will have demonstrated capabilities in time management, record keeping and data analysis, work well in a team or individually, and be a good communicator.
