Your Role

The Offshore Patrol Vessel Systems Program Office (OPVSPO) Configuration Manager will be responsible for the delivery of a range of engineering control and management functions. This includes monitoring and control of engineering change activities, executing configuration management activities, and governing the technical data management in the OPVSPO. You will initially support the OPVSPO Director and Engineering Change Manager in establishing configuration management processes and instructions for the newly established business unit.

The individual will be accountable to perform and achieve very complex configuration and systems engineering work within an integrated workforce. They will have in-depth knowledge of configuration management and systems engineering, and will be responsible for the development, implementation, surveillance and review of policies and procedures

Our Team

The Australian Government is laying the foundations for a nationwide naval shipbuilding and sustainment enterprise to support implementation of the Naval Shipbuilding Plan. The Team will work collaboratively with Defence and industry partners to establish the new OPVSPO business unit to transition of the OPVs into service and provide through-life sustainment.

Our Ideal Candidate

The Offshore Patrol Vessel Systems Program Office (OPVSPO) is seeking a committed and confident individual to fill the EL1 Technical Manager position that will lead the Configuration Management Team within the SPO.

Strong skills in configuration management, leadership, stakeholder management and communication are required to meet the demands of this position. In addition to the mandatory requirements and desirable qualifications/experience, the preferred candidate will also display the following core skills and capabilities:
