The Role

This critical role provides high quality services to enable Defence capability on Defence Bases and Training Areas.
Working in a complex, unique and high tempo setting, this role will develop your leadership skills and enable you to make a personal contribution to the Australian Defence Force through your role as an Assistant Base Manager.
Leadership and stakeholder engagement are key responsibilities of this role; we need an energetic and customer-centric high performer, one who responds with enthusiasm and flexibility, to meet the needs of this ever-changing environment and dynamic customer base.

About our Team
Your team is located at Woomera and you will work to the Base Manager of Edinburgh Defence Precinct.
Your team is responsible for assisting with Defence capability through the effective provision of base operations support. They will deliver customer focused outcomes through effective, integrated partnerships with senior members of the Australian Defence Force Services, customers, contract partners and other stakeholders. The team works in a multifaceted, high tempo environment that brings rewarding challenges and a great sense of purpose.

Our Ideal Candidate
You are a polished professional with the ability to represent Defence in this critical role. Working closely with Senior Australian Defence Force Officers, Australian Defence Force Customers and Industry Partners, ensuring enabling services are delivered and Defence Bases maintained to support capability.
This Position will suit you if you are:
- A strong communicator with the ability to think strategically, solve complex problems and build stakeholder relationships;
- Comfortable operating with the unknown, you seek assistance, and welcome feedback for your own development;
- Experienced in planning, and managing resources to achieve strategic outcomes;
